Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join the FLEXE team to assist and learn from our finance team. This person will be responsible for month end close activities, accounts payable and receivables, and many other vital activities on the team. The ideal candidate has exceptional accounting, communication, and critical thinking skills. 

We are currently considering candidates that are local to Seattle and authorized to work in the US without the need for visa assistance. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Month end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Manage corporate credit card activity and perform proper coding of costs.
  • Process and help reconcile customer payments from checks, ACH payments and credit cards.
  • Maintain AP inbox and process vendor invoices while reviewing for appropriate documentation, coding, and approval prior to payment.
  • Assist in P&L analysis to ensure transactions are coded to the proper GL account
  • Analyze discrepancies and liaise with other departments to resolve
  • Assist in filing monthly and quarterly tax returns
  • Assist in annual audit
  • Participate in the development and improvement of processes and internal controls
  • Support ad hoc analysis for operating departments and management as needed
  • Prepare year end 1099 reporting and collection of Form W-9 from vendors


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or related field preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
